TTRPG

Telling polyhedra-powered stories and creating DnD-inspired hard rock.

I fell in love with tabletop roleplaying games as a kid and played a ton in the late 80s and early 90s: D&D (red, blue, teal, black, and gold boxed sets), AD&D, Top Secret, Phoenix Command, Twilight 2000, Star Frontiers, Gamma World, and others. Life happened after high school and I stopped playing.

In 2016, I pulled together a Star Wars one-shot and I’ve been playing ever since. Most of my time has been spent in 5e and I’ve filled a bookshelf with games I’m itching to play. Lately, I’ve been immersed in the world and rules of Cyberpunk RED in preparation for my first campaign that kicked off late June.

Q: What happens when you smash together hard rock with content from Dungeons & Dragons? A: I have no clue, but I intend to find out.

My band has agreed to indulge the crazy idea that hatched in my gooey gray matter on my drive home from PAX Unplugged last year. (It wasn’t a hard sell, 4 of 6 play D&D). We’re writing original hard rock that is lyrically rooted in D&D material. We’ve roughed in a couple songs and I’m hoping to finish, record, and release at least one of them this year. Will start posting updates here and on our shiny-new Instagram soon-ish.
